The German sub-championships are held annually as part of the championship concept. The North German Beatbox Championship is one of the four preliminary rounds for the German Beatbox Championship. The best beatboxers compete against each other in the categories Solo U18, Solo and Loopstation.

In addition to the North German Beatbox Championship, there are the South, West and East German Beatbox Championships. Each of these sub-championships enables participants to qualify for the German Beatbox Championship. The first North German Beatbox Championship took place in Hamburg in 2022.
